The post-cure programme (officially post-treatment rehabilitation) offers personalised aftercare for people who have completed treatment in the Night Hospital, Day Hospital or another psychiatric setting.
This programme is made possible thanks to an agreement between the health insurance funds and healthcare institutions. Patients therefore no longer need to be admitted to still be able to make use of certain support services.
Around eighty people currently participate in the programme, which helps them continue their recovery journey while rebuilding daily life at their own pace.
Target group
The post-cure programme is aimed at people with psychotic vulnerability who want to further strengthen their recovery journey after a previous admission. We ask for an open attitude and willingness to participate in the activities of the day centre.
How it works
The post-cure group has its own space — a welcoming place where participants can cook, share meals, listen to music, watch television, read the newspaper or simply spend time together.
A staff member coordinates the programme and works together with each participant to create a personalised schedule tailored to their needs, interests and recovery goals.
This programme may consist of:
- participation in one or more activities
- individual therapy
- ADL training (such as cooking, washing up, maintenance of the living space)
- participation in communal meals
The post-cure programme supports participants in daily life outside the centre. Together, we focus on maintaining or gradually rebuilding activities such as work, volunteering, education and other daytime activities.
